Ladder and Step Ladder Safety Print

Course Details

It is a requirement of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 that all personnel using Ladders and Steps are trained in, and aware of, their correct use. Failure to comply with the regulations can lead to prosecution.

It is a popular myth that Ladders and Steps have been banned by the HSE. This is not true.

Given the correct training and risk assessment they can be used for the following

  • Ladders can be used for access to and from a place of work
  • Work can be conducted from a ladder
